When searching on RealEstate.com.au here’s a little nugget to make your property search so much easier and arm with you all the info.
Change from ‘Buy’ to ‘Sold’:
Switch your search function from ‘buy’ to ‘sold’. Enter the specific property type and location you’re interested in, then sort by the sold date (newest to oldest). This handy trick will show you what’s ACTUALLY been selling in your area in your price range, giving you a better idea of what the properties advertised in ‘buy’ might actually sell for. Knowledge is power, right?
Switch to Map View:
When searching for properties to ‘buy’, ditch the ‘list’ view and switch to ‘map’ view. It’s a game changer! You’ll be able to spot properties that better suit your needs and rule out the ones that don’t. Plus, you can use the ‘search this area’ function in map view to save time by avoiding a suburb-by-suburb search and missing the odd one. Bonus: the app remembers the properties you’ve already viewed, so you can easily spot the new ones! You’ll be ready to pounce on the new listings… game changer.
